BTS Nana sits in Sukhumvit–Asok–Nana, the area we work around Terminal 21, the Asok interchange and lower Sukhumvit. The Skytrain runs above the traffic, so a pickup window holds whatever the road below is doing.

Most of the collections here are on Soi Sukhumvit 11, Soi Sukhumvit 4, Soi Sukhumvit 5. The mix is 114 hotels, 13 condominiums, 5 hostels, which is why the handoff differs from building to building — a hotel has a concierge, a condo has a lobby counter, and a serviced apartment usually has both.

Nana is the densest stop on our whole map, and the reason is Soi 11. The lane running north from the station has become the place mid-range hotels cluster, so a few hundred metres of road holds more beds than some whole districts — which is why 129 addresses here sit on one round and 58 of them are inside 300 metres of the platform.

It is not a quiet address and nobody books it expecting one. Soi 11 is bars, rooftops and late food; Soi 4 opposite is louder still. What the street buys you is that everything else is close: Terminal 21 and the Asok interchange are one stop east, Central Embassy and the Ploenchit malls one or two stops west, and the whole BTS network opens from a platform you can walk to in five minutes from most of these buildings.

Guests here tend to be on short trips, out most of the evening, and back with more laundry than they packed for.
