The Landmark Bangkok opened in 1987 at 138 Sukhumvit Road and has been a fixture of this stretch ever since — 31 storeys holding 399 rooms and suites, from 26 to 78 square metres, last renovated in 2017.
It belongs to an older generation of Bangkok hotel: a large lobby, a full-size ballroom, a proper business centre, and the kind of staff who have worked there for twenty years. That is increasingly rare on Sukhumvit, where most of the new stock is smaller and more design-led, and it is why the hotel keeps a steady base of returning business guests.
The address is squarely between Nana and Asok on the main road, so BTS Nana is a short walk one way and BTS Asok, the MRT interchange and Terminal 21 a few minutes the other. The whole of lower Sukhumvit — the street food, the tailors, the pharmacies, the night market — is on the pavement outside, and Central Embassy and Ratchaprasong are two or three BTS stops west.
The Landmark also sits above its own arcade of shops and restaurants, which for a guest arriving late on a long-haul flight is more useful than it sounds.
