It belongs to the class of Bangkok property that does not appear in guidebooks: a handful of floors, a straightforward room, and a location that costs several times more a few hundred metres away.
That location is the argument. From here the elevated skywalk at Chit Lom reaches Central Chidlom, Gaysorn Village, Gaysorn Amarin, CentralWorld and the Erawan Shrine without a single road crossing, and Central Embassy is a few minutes further east. Siam Paragon, Siam Center and MBK are two BTS stops west. Pratunam and the Platinum Fashion Mall are a walk north for anyone shopping wholesale.
The surrounding streets are a mix of residential blocks, small hotels and the old low-rise Bangkok that has survived between the towers — food stalls, laundry shops, motorcycle taxis on the corner. It is a more ordinary neighbourhood than the address suggests, which is part of why people like it.
A small hotel does not run its own laundry, and guests here are usually in Bangkok for a week or more rather than a night.
