Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok opened in June 2019 on Soi Som Khit, off Wireless Road, and it is unlike anything else in the district: 1.2 acres of garden in the middle of Pathum Wan, with trees on the site more than a century old. In a part of Bangkok where land sells for what it does here, keeping that much of it as garden is a statement.
The BDMS in the name is Bangkok Dusit Medical Services, the hospital group, and the resort was built as a wellness property rather than a city hotel — health screening, nutrition-led menus, treatment programmes and a spa run alongside the ordinary hotel operation. Rooms open onto the gardens rather than onto a light well.
The location is the quiet corner of the embassy quarter. Soi Som Khit runs between Wireless Road and Ploenchit, a short walk from BTS Phloen Chit, which puts Central Embassy and Central Chidlom within a few minutes and the Ratchaprasong skywalk beyond them. Lumphini Park is at the southern end of Wireless Road.
