Park Hyatt Bangkok opened in May 2017 inside Central Embassy, the AL_A-designed tower on Wireless Road built on the former British Embassy gardens. The interiors are by Yabu Pushelberg, and the standard rooms run past 48 square metres, which makes them among the largest entry-level rooms in the city.
The part guests talk about is the top. Penthouse Bar + Grill occupies levels 34 to 36 — six linked venues designed by the New York studio AvroKO around the idea of a Chicago or Manhattan penthouse: a grill room, a bar, a terrace, a whisky room. The view runs the length of Ploenchit and out over Lumphini Park, and it draws Bangkok residents as much as hotel guests.
Being inside Central Embassy is the practical advantage. The luxury mall is directly downstairs, Central Chidlom connects next door, and a covered walk leads to BTS Phloen Chit, so a guest can reach the train, two department stores and thirty restaurants without going outside. Wireless Road below is the embassy street, walled and green and unusually quiet; Lumphini Park is a short walk south.
Guests here are typically staying several days, often on business, in rooms large enough to work from.
