Rongratana Executive Residence sits on Lang Suan Road, among the residential buildings that make up the middle of the street. Q Lang Suan is about a hundred metres away, Centre Point Chidlom the same, and The Dutchess a hundred — a dense residential block on a road that has no shopping mall on it and does not want one.
Langsuan is the quiet alternative to the main roads either side of it. It runs from Ploenchit down to Lumphini Park past embassies, apartment towers and a line of old trees, with a scattering of coffee shops and small restaurants that opened for the residents rather than for visitors. It is one of the few streets in this part of Bangkok where walking the length of it is a pleasure rather than an obstacle course.
BTS Ratchadamri is about 350 metres from the door, which puts Silom two stops south, Siam two stops west, and Central Chidlom, Gaysorn, CentralWorld and Central Embassy within a ten-minute walk on the skywalk network. Lumphini Park is at the southern end of the street: 140 rai of lake and lawn, busiest before seven in the morning. Thirty-six other addresses on our daily collection round lie within 500 metres.
