Tower Club at lebua is a hotel inside a hotel: 178 suites occupying floors 53 to 59 of State Tower on Silom Road, run separately from the lebua rooms below with their own check-in and lounge. Every unit is a suite with a living room, a bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in shower, and floor-to-ceiling doors onto a private balcony over the Chao Phraya.
What sets it apart is the food. The Dome above holds four restaurants and six bars, two of the restaurants holding two Michelin stars. Chef's Table is the better known — Vincent Thierry's modern French cooking, served in a room with a dress code that is enforced: collared shirts and long trousers, no shorts, no caps. Sirocco and Sky Bar, the open terraces made famous by The Hangover Part II, are on the same floors.
The balconies are the daily pleasure rather than the restaurants. From the 55th floor the river runs south toward the gulf and north past the old town, with the whole of Silom and Sathon laid out inland.
BTS Saphan Taksin and the Sathorn pier are a short walk, which puts the express boats, the hotel shuttles and the river network at the door, and Silom and Sala Daeng a few stops east.
