Ruam Rudi is a genuinely liveable street in a way that most of central Bangkok is not. There is no through traffic, the embassies along it keep it walled and green, and a run of small independent restaurants and coffee shops has grown up to serve the residential blocks rather than tourists. It is the sort of lane where you end up eating at the same place twice.
BTS Phloen Chit is about 500 metres away, which puts Central Embassy and Central Chidlom within a ten-minute walk and Siam, Asok and Silom a few stops away. Lumphini Park is at the far end of Wireless Road.
