Soi Ruam Rudi is the lane that runs between Ploenchit Road and Wireless Road through the embassy quarter of Pathum Wan, and it is one of the more liveable streets in central Bangkok. There is no through traffic. The embassies along it bring walled gardens and mature trees. A row of small independent restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops has grown up to serve the residential blocks rather than tourists, which gives the street an evening life that most of this district does not have.
BTS Phloen Chit is about 500 metres away, putting Central Embassy and Central Chidlom within a ten-minute walk and Siam, Asok and Silom a few stops out. Lumphini Park lies at the southern end of Wireless Road, and the All Seasons Place complex — offices, shops and the Conrad — is at the corner.
