What that buys is quiet. This is one of the few addresses in central Bangkok where the loudest thing at night is the restaurants on Sarasin Road, and where the view from the upper floors is the racecourse turf and the tree canopy of Lumphini rather than another tower. The park itself is across the road: 140 rai of lake and lawn, busy from before dawn with runners, tai chi groups and outdoor gyms, and famous for the water monitors that live in it.
BTS Ratchadamri is about 450 metres away, which puts CentralWorld, Gaysorn and the Erawan Shrine within a ten-minute walk and Silom two stops south. Nineteen other addresses on our daily round lie within 500 metres.
