Wireless Road has a fair claim to being the most prestigious avenue in Bangkok. Thailand's first radio transmitters stood along it, which is where the name comes from, and it is still lined with embassy compounds — American, British, Dutch, Vietnamese — whose gardens make it one of the greenest and quietest roads in the middle of the city.
The hotel takes its cues from that. The interiors are modernist and deliberately colourful rather than beige-luxurious, with social spaces built to be used, and rooms that look either into mature garden greenery or out across the Bangkok skyline. It is small enough to feel like a boutique property and equipped for people working from it.
What you get from the address is a rare combination in Bangkok: silence at night and everything within reach in the morning. Lumphini Park is at the southern end of the road. BTS Phloen Chit is a few minutes' walk, which puts Central Embassy, Central Chidlom, Gaysorn and CentralWorld within a short hop, and Terminal 21, Emporium and EmQuartier a few stations further east.
