The building is arranged around a communal garden with a pool and a fitness centre, and it keeps the low-key, residential atmosphere that suits its address. Wireless Road is the embassy street: named for Thailand's first radio transmitters, walled with diplomatic compounds and old trees, and noticeably quieter than anywhere else this close to the centre of Bangkok.
For a visitor, the appeal is a long stay that does not feel like living in a hotel. BTS Phloen Chit is about 600 metres up the road, Lumphini Park is at the southern end, and Central Embassy, Central Chidlom and Gaysorn are within a ten-minute walk. Hotel Indigo, Conrad Bangkok and the residential sois of Ton Son are the immediate neighbours, and thirty-six other addresses on our daily round sit within 500 metres.
