ABOUT THIS STAY
Hotel Nikko Bangkok
Hotel Nikko Bangkok is a hotel in the Phrom Phong–Thonglor–Ekkamai area of Bangkok. It stands on Soi Sukhumvit 55 in Vadhana, Bangkok 10110. BTS Thong Lo is a couple of minutes' walk away. It sits about 2.2 km from the Thonglor branch that runs this area, with 43 other addresses we collect from inside a 500 m walk. The nearest address we already collect from is Gunn's House, about 50 m away.
Hotel Nikko Bangkok has a front desk, so the usual arrangement is the simplest one: leave the bag with the concierge on your way out and it is back at the same desk when you return. Wash & Fold comes back folded flat and packed for a suitcase; Wash & Iron comes back pressed and on hangers. Next day is standard, and same day is available when the booking is confirmed before 2pm.
The building sits on Soi Sukhumvit 55, Vadhana. BTS Thong Lo is a couple of minutes' walk from the door, about 130 m. Our driver comes by road rather than by rail, so the pickup window is the one you agree with us, not the train timetable.
Hotel Nikko Bangkok is not a one-off stop for us: on the same round we also collect at Gunn's House (50 m), Hotel JAL City Bangkok (50 m) and Yadoya (100 m). A van that is already on this street is the reason a same-day return is realistic here when the booking is confirmed before 2pm.
More about this place to stay
Hotel Nikko Bangkok opened in January 2019 at 27 Sukhumvit 55 — Soi Thong Lo — with 301 rooms and suites, and it is the most thoroughly Japanese hotel in the city. That is not a decorative claim: the bathrooms are built to a Japanese specification with TOTO washlets, the amenities follow suit, and HISHOU is a full Japanese restaurant rather than a sushi counter bolted onto a lobby.
The choice of Thong Lo is deliberate. This is where Bangkok's Japanese community concentrates, and the soi is lined with izakaya, ramen counters, Japanese bakeries and supermarkets that exist for residents, not for tourists. A guest staying here eats better Japanese food on the street outside than in most of the rest of Southeast Asia.
BTS Thong Lo is about two minutes on foot, which puts Phrom Phong and the Em District one stop west, Asok and Terminal 21 three stops, and Ekkamai one stop east. Thong Lo itself runs north for two kilometres past bars, design shops and restaurants that fill up late.
Guests are typically here for several nights, often on business with the Japanese firms clustered along this stretch of Sukhumvit.
You can use GO Laundry PX's laundry delivery service from Hotel Nikko Bangkok. We collect at the front desk or from you, wash every order on its own rather than in a shared load, and return it to the same address — folded flat the KonMari way, or pressed and returned on hangers. Next day is standard; same day is confirmed at booking when the order is placed before 2pm.
