BTS Krung Thon Buri sits in Riverside–Charoen Krung, the area we work around the Chao Phraya riverfront, Saphan Taksin and Charoen Krung Road. The Skytrain runs above the traffic, so a pickup window holds whatever the road below is doing.

Most of the collections here are on Charoen Nakhon Road, Soi Charoen Nakhon 13, Soi Charoen Nakhon 14/2. The mix is 13 condominiums, 11 hotels, 1 hostel, which is why the handoff differs from building to building — a hotel has a concierge, a condo has a lobby counter, and a serviced apartment usually has both.

Krung Thon Buri is the first stop across the river, and it has changed faster than almost anywhere else on the network. Icon Siam opened on the waterfront below it and pulled a whole district of new towers up behind — which is why thirteen of the 25 addresses here are condominiums rather than hotels.

Charoen Nakhon Road runs along the riverbank past the old warehouses that have not gone yet and the new residences that replaced the ones that have. The view back across the water towards Bang Rak is the reason people pay to live on this side.
