It sits a little apart from the embassy stretch further south, in a pocket that mixes older apartment blocks and small hotels — Cesar Apartments, Nantra Ploenchit and Cesar Hotel are all within a hundred and fifty metres — which makes it noticeably less formal than the diplomatic end of the road.
BTS Phloen Chit is about 500 metres away, which puts the whole Ploenchit and Ratchaprasong run within a short walk or one stop: Central Embassy, Central Chidlom, Gaysorn Village and CentralWorld are all reachable on the elevated skywalk from the station without crossing traffic. Lumphini Park is at the far southern end of Wireless Road, about fifteen minutes on foot or a few minutes by taxi.
