Aira Hotel Bangkok is one of the newer arrivals on Sukhumvit Soi 11, with 255 rooms and a rooftop given over almost entirely to the pool — 92 square metres of water above the street, open until ten at night, with the skyline in view once it gets dark.
The hotel runs two separate bars, which is unusual at this size: Mullis at ground level, where guests come and go, and Pastel on the roof beside the pool for the evening. The restaurant covers Thai, Asian and international cooking and keeps vegetarian and halal options on the menu, which matters on a soi that draws visitors from across the Gulf and Southeast Asia. Rooms carry smart televisions with streaming, minibars, work desks and bathrobes.
Soi 11 is the busiest nightlife lane on lower Sukhumvit — bars, restaurants and clubs along its length, busy from early evening until very late. BTS Nana is about 300 metres away at the mouth of the soi, putting Asok, Terminal 21 and the MRT interchange one stop east, and Ploenchit and the Ratchaprasong malls one or two stops west. Central Embassy is roughly twenty minutes on foot.
Guests here are mostly on short city breaks of a few nights, out every evening.
