Dusit Central Park is the 46-billion-baht redevelopment of the block where Silom meets Rama IV, facing Lumphini Park — retail, offices, residences and the rebuilt Dusit Thani Bangkok on one site. The hotel reopened on 27 September 2024; the shopping complex followed on 4 September 2025 with eight floors, 130,000 square metres and more than 550 brands.
The part worth knowing about is on the roof. A public park of about 11,200 square metres — roughly seven rai — runs across the fourth to seventh floors, the largest urban roof park in Thailand. It takes around a thousand visitors a day by advance registration and opens from six in the morning until ten at night, which makes it one of the very few places in central Bangkok where you can walk on grass above the traffic.
The development was designed as a bridge between the city and the park, with covered walkways running straight into BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Si Lom. Lumphini Park itself is across Rama IV — 140 rai of lake and lawn — and Silom's offices, street food and night markets begin at the door.
