ABOUT THIS STAY
Banyan Tree Bangkok
Banyan Tree Bangkok is a hotel in the Sathon–Silom–Surawong area of Bangkok. It stands on Soi Suan Phlu 6 in Sathon, Bangkok 10120. MRT Lumphini is roughly a ten-minute walk away. It sits inside the Sathon pickup round, with 32 other addresses we collect from inside a 500 m walk. The nearest address we already collect from is The Metropolitan, about 100 m away.
Banyan Tree Bangkok has a front desk, so the usual arrangement is the simplest one: leave the bag with the concierge on your way out and it is back at the same desk when you return. Wash & Fold comes back folded flat and packed for a suitcase; Wash & Iron comes back pressed and on hangers. Next day is standard, and same day is available when the booking is confirmed before 2pm.
The building sits on Soi Suan Phlu 6, Sathon. MRT Lumphini is roughly a ten-minute walk from the door (677 m) and MRT Si Lom is about 729 m, so guests here have two lines within walking distance. Our driver comes by road rather than by rail, so the pickup window is the one you agree with us, not the train timetable.
Banyan Tree Bangkok is not a one-off stop for us: on the same round we also collect at The Metropolitan (100 m), Sathorn Gardens Condominium (150 m) and The Sukhothai Bangkok (150 m). A van that is already on this street is the reason a same-day return is realistic here when the booking is confirmed before 2pm.
More about this place to stay
Banyan Tree Bangkok is an all-suite tower at 21/100 South Sathon Road, and it is best known for what sits on top of it. Vertigo and Moon Bar occupy the 61st floor — an open-air restaurant and a long, narrow bar with no roof and a 360-degree view of Bangkok, which is why people who are not staying in the hotel still queue for the lift at six in the evening. The venue is currently closed for a redesign.
Below that, the hotel is a quieter proposition than its rooftop suggests: suites rather than rooms, a large spa built around Banyan Tree's own treatment traditions, and a pool deck on the podium. The building's slim footprint means most suites look either east over Lumphini Park or west across Sathon toward the river.
Sathon itself is the banking and embassy district — the reason the surrounding blocks fill with business travellers on weekdays and empty at weekends. Lumphini Park is a short walk north with its lake, morning runners and monitor lizards; MRT Lumphini and BTS Chong Nonsi are both within reach; and Silom's restaurants and night markets are a few minutes away.
Guests here are mostly on work trips of several days, in a suite with a sitting room, which is exactly when a garment-priced hotel laundry list starts to add up.
You can use GO Laundry PX's laundry pickup and delivery service from Banyan Tree Bangkok. We collect at the front desk or from you directly, wash each order on its own so it never shares a machine with another guest's, and return it to the same address — folded flat for packing, or pressed and returned on hangers. Next day is standard; same day is confirmed at booking before 2pm.
