The pool looks straight back across the Chao Phraya at the Bangkok skyline, which is the view most people come to this side of the river for.
The hotel runs five restaurants and bars and a complimentary shuttle boat, which is the practical detail that matters most. The boat crosses to the Sathorn pier for BTS Saphan Taksin, putting Silom, Sathon and the BTS network a few minutes away, and it also serves the river piers upstream toward the old town.
Charoen Nakhon has changed faster than almost anywhere in Bangkok over the past decade. ICONSIAM is a short walk, the BTS Gold Line put stations along the road, and the old warehouse blocks between here and Khlong San have been giving way to towers — while the lanes behind still hold markets, shophouses and the food that goes with them.
