The Davis Bangkok was one of the first boutique hotels in the city, and it is still one of the few laid out as a small compound rather than a single tower. There are 247 rooms, suites and Thai villas in total: the main and corner wings hold the rooms, and behind them, screened from the road, sits Baan Davis — a group of traditional Thai-style villas with their own pool, in a walled garden.
That combination is genuinely unusual in central Bangkok. A guest can book a contemporary studio in the main building or a teak-and-tile villa fifty metres away, on the same site, off the same lane. The rest of the hotel covers the Gallery Café, Club 88, a fitness centre, a second pool on the ninth floor of the main wing, and Sikhara Spa.
The address is a quiet lane running off Soi Sukhumvit 24, which is itself a residential road heading south from the main Sukhumvit toward Rama IV. That puts the hotel out of the traffic while leaving the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre and its MRT station a short ride south, BTS Phrom Phong and the Em District a walk north, and Benchasiri Park nearby.
