MRT Wat Mangkon sits in Old Town–Yaowarat, the area we work around Yaowarat's Chinatown, Rattanakosin island and the Grand Palace. The subway keeps its schedule in any weather, which is the half of the year that matters here.

Yaowarat Road — the gold shops by day, the street food by night — runs parallel, and Soi Nana off it holds the bars that made this the most interesting drinking neighbourhood in Bangkok.
