MRT Khlong Toei sits in Sathon–Silom–Surawong, the area we work around the Silom business district, Lumphini MRT and Patpong. The subway keeps its schedule in any weather, which is the half of the year that matters here.

Most of the collections here are on Soi Si Bamphen, Rama IV Road, Soi Suwan Sawat. The mix is 9 hotels, 1 hostel, 1 condominium, which is why the handoff differs from building to building — a hotel has a concierge, a condo has a lobby counter, and a serviced apartment usually has both.

Khlong Toei is the least touristed stop we serve, and that is exactly what it is for. The port gave the district its name and its character, and Khlong Toei market beside the station is the largest fresh market in Bangkok — the place the city's restaurants buy from, at four in the morning, at prices nowhere else matches.

Only twelve addresses sit within walking distance and just two of them are inside 300 metres, so this is a thin, spread-out round. Nine of the twelve are hotels, mostly along Soi Si Bamphen and off Rama IV.

What a guest gets here is real Bangkok at a price the Sukhumvit sois stopped offering years ago, with the Blue Line one stop from Queen Sirikit and two from Lumphini. What they do not get is a laundry on the corner, which is the reason this round exists at all.
