Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok rises thirty floors over Sukhumvit Soi 27 with 290 rooms and suites, and it is placed on one of the more useful corners in the district — a short walk from BTS Asok and the MRT at Sukhumvit, with Terminal 21 at the intersection.
The height is the hotel's asset. Rooms on the upper floors look either south across Benchakitti Park and the lake toward Sathon, or north over the Sukhumvit sois, and the rooftop pool and bar sit high enough to clear the buildings around them.
Soi 27 runs off Sukhumvit between Asok and Phrom Phong, quieter than Soi 23 next door with its bars, and lined mostly with residential blocks and restaurants. That means a guest gets the Asok interchange within a few minutes' walk without staying on top of the noise it generates.
Benchakitti Park is a short walk south — the forest park and lake beside the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, and the best running route in central Bangkok. Emporium, EmQuartier and EmSphere are one BTS stop east; Central Embassy and Ratchaprasong three stops west.
Guests are a mix of business travellers and holidaymakers, most staying several nights.
